As globalvillageextra.com revealed, Performing Employee Association of Nigeria (PMAN), have demanded N3m taxation from Nigerian comedian, Bovi after he brought Ja’Rule and Ashanti from America to perform in his “Bovi Man on Fire” show held recently in Lagos.

PMAN stated that the taxation was meant for the comedian’s international artistes and Bovi has fumed over this demand.

He said that it was not right and could affect the growth of the industry.

It is however unclear what sanctions the comedian will face if PMAN decided to press the case further.

This development is necessitated by the entertainment sector’s endeavor to settle issues of royalties for artistes.

Thus, everybody handling the affairs of music in the country is beginning to sit up as there has been total war on either artistes’ royalties or taxation on any show organised in the country.
