Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former vice president, has described the cancellation of Adamawa state bye-election as a shift of the opposition party’s disgrace in the state.
While reacting to the cancellation of Adamawa State bye-election which was earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, 11 October, 2014, Atiku stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, would prevail whenever the election holds.
A Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja on Wednesday nullified the state’s by-election during a verdict that caused the removal of the acting governor Umar Fintiri.
Atiku, who is a presidential aspirant under the APC, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his media office in Abuja, said the cancellation of the state’s election was a postponement of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP’s doomsday in Adamawa.
